This book has a few good phrases but lacks in some areas. There are no phrases dealing with Dependability, Flexibility, or Interpersonal Skills and most of the 2,600 phrases are broken down into job-specific phrases which leaves you with far fewer phrases in the Commonly Rated Performance Factors. A much better reference is Perfect Phrases for Performance Reviews by Douglas Max and Robert Bacal which I purchased from Amazon in 2015. There are many more phrases dealing with twice as many specific topics rather than job-specific phrases, and they're broken down into Outstanding, Exceeds Expectations, Meets Expectations, and Needs Improvement. This book only breaks it down into phrases for Meets/Exceeds Expectations and Needs Improvement. I'll keep it as a secondary reference but I was expecting more phrases for commonly rated topics.

The author has presented elegant examples . Indeed I could use this book to conduct different types of performance review or feedback.

Be cognizant NOT to buy Kindle version . This is a reference book and not suitable for eBook . eBook experience is not the preference experience for any reference type of books Hence I returned the kindle version and brought a paperback version

The material was useful but the format was wrong for a reference document. This book is great for triggering ideas and thoughts for performance review. I recommend buying the paper version of the book instead of the kindle version. Kindle version of books are great for reading but not so great for research.

I use this book in combination with other books of this type as a crutch when I'm suffering from writers block and I can't wordsmith a coherent sentence or simply in need of a different way to say "Good Job". What I like about this one is the job/task specific phrases that go beyond the generic phrases. This book has come in handy.

Great tool for Junior PO or enlisted members in the armed forces to adequately write performance marks.
