CAROLINE GILPIN has been a writer, editor, and teacher for 25 years. She is currently a newspaper education editor and freelance writer, as well as a writing coach. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Connecticut College and obtained a master's degree in journalism from Temple University. She currently lives in Scarsdale, New York, with her three children and their dog, Maggie.

I purchased the Kindle edition of this books to read to our homeschool co-op, which is a group of 12 kids ranging in age from 4-9. The text is clearly written with all the pertinent facts about Amelia Earhart's life presented in a way that really held the kids' attention. There is also an abundance of photographs, which captivated them. I highly recommend this book as an introductory text about Amelia Earhart!

This was a nice read for a school project. Easy enough to read and was enough information for k-3 to write an essay.

I got the book for a 1st grade school project it was well written and kept my child's interest. Easy for a beginner reader to read.

My daughter becamue a huge fan after watching Night at the Museum - these are great books - filled with easy to read and understand facts

best book I have ever read.
I think it's a great book for kids.
