My daughter is 17 months old and absolutely loves this book! It was hard to find a book about going out to play at the park, which was one of her favorite activities this summer. In this book she can recreate swinging on the swings, kicking a ball, and going up and down on the see-saw. The books are very sturdy, but there are parts that can be ripped. For example, she's ripped the base off the seesaw and also ripped the covering to the last page with the pull-out of the bike. However, these were easily fixed with some super glue and scotch tape. Some of the pull buttons are a bit difficult for her (you stick your finger in a little circular hole and pull down or up or over), but as she get's older I anticipate that this will become easier. Each Bizzy Bear book follows the same rhyme scheme beginning with "Bizzy Bear, Bizzy Bear... dah duh dah dah" My daughter loves the rhyme and repetition, and even sways back and forth sometimes to the beat. I highly recommend this book, as well as "Off We Go!" They're bright, colorful, engaging with neat pull out tabs and other movable features, and the rhyme scheme and text are cute and upbeat.
Bizzy Bear books are currently my toddler's favorite (he's 20 months old). Each page has something fun for him to do (push-pull-slide) and it's easy enough for him to do it himself, where other books have caused him much frustration when he tries to pull a tab that is too difficult for a little one to do without assistance. The books are also super sturdy and I know they will last a long time. The simple, rhyming text is perfect for his age and attention span. My son loves to read Bizzy Bear over and over!
Great story teaching the benefits of playing outside, while enhancing motor skills without video games/screens that have been studied to be detrimental to social development in toddlers. A fantastic series, each page has something to touch, swipe, pull, or push! The illustrations are fantastic as well. I'm trying to collect all in the series for my son now!
Bizzy Bear books are great for children up to 3 years of age. My son has enjoyed every one of the 10 we own. They're interactive with cute and colorful illustrations. Simple stories and a fun hands-on read for little ones. The price of the book is also affordable and worth the purchase.
Love busy bear. Unlike the other Bizzy Bear books we have, this one has a coherent narrative of Bizzy Bear and his friend the white rabbit going to the park and playing, with each character featured on each page.
