作者简介 Nizar N. Zein, MD, holds the Mikati Foundation Endowed Chair in Liver Diseases and is Chief of the Section of Hepatobiliary Diseases and Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Cleveland Clinic. The author of more than 200 publications, Dr. Zein is the associate editor of the American Journal of Gastroenterology and co-edits The Year in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board of the Ohio Chapter of the American Liver Foundation and currently serves as Chair of the Clinical Research Committee of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).
Kevin M. Edwards, MSN, CNP, is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Nurse Corps of the Ohio Army National Guard, with which he has served for more than 20 years. He completed a year's postgraduate fellowship in Clinical Hepatology. At Cleveland Clinic, he worked in the Department of Gastroenterology, caring for patients with all forms of liver disease. He has traveled extensively to Central and South America to provide medical care to underprivileged communities.
