Economy is the engine for a country to develop, but no country can achieve sustainable economic growth without substantial investment in education that delivers valuable human capital in society. In every sense of the word, education is one of the fundamental factors of a country's development in the social and economic context. Education has the power to benefit individuals and society as a whole.
All people need to study and the importance of education is undeniable for every single person who can benefit from a range of advantages. For one thing, through education individuals are given critical skills and tools to help them better provide for themselves and their children. Further, education helps people work better, and in turn they can create opportunities for viable economic growth for the country now and into the future. In general, education results in raising income, promoting gender equality, and above all, reducing poverty. Thus, speaking of the development of a country, the impact of investment in education is both wide and profound on individuals who become more useful and civilized, if better educated.
Society as a whole learns from quality education, paving the road to a successful country free from a variety of social and economic downsides. It is because knowledge, as a product of education, is an essential ingredient of all societies. This fact is particularly important to developing and transition countries in their efforts to catch up with the wealthier countries in the increasingly globalized world. Understandably, education encourages public transparency, good governance, and social stability, through fighting against graft and corruption. Indeed, so rudimentary a role that education plays on all societies that it is hard to imagine a country on its way to growth can do without it. In other words, the more developed a country intends to be, the more necessary is education for that country.
Considering its positive effects on individuals and society, the importance of education in the development of a country cannot be over-emphasized. While economy moves the country to develop, education helps economy keep growing in the right direction.
