Decisions after Graduation
Recently, there has been a growing concern among the public over the topic of the choice after graduation. As is described in the picture, a group of graduation is facing various roads such as: searching for jobs, pursuing further study, going abroad and entrepreneurship. The picture intends to convey to us this message: As adults, college students have to make decisions about their future life.
After graduation, college students have to make decisions about their future life. For those who are eager to become economically independent and to put into practice what they have learned in college, taking a job or doing poineering work will be both satisfying and rewarding. Getting established as a bread-winner after graduation is their main desire. By contrast, those who want to take advantage of the favorable conditions in college, however, will try to enroll in graduate programs inside or outside. For them, a Master's degree or even a Doctoral degree represents a much more ambitious goal than a bachelor's degree. In the same way, their lifetime success and interest lies more in academic achievements than in making money.
As far as I am concerned, it is sensible that we should take a rational attitude towards the decisive choice. For the part of my own, getting a higher degree abroad has long been my dream. This is based on my belief that I should do more research and learn more while I am still young.

In the bar chart, it shows the changes of the proportion of the students having part-time jobs during the four years’ study in college. The proportion increases slightly from the first year to the third year, however, the fourth year has witnessed a fast increase, surging to 88.24%.
There is no denying that this trend is very pervasive in current colleges and in a certain degree is quite proper. To begin with, when students in their first year in college, their major job is to study, not to work. They have to lay a profound knowledge base so that they make a good preparation for future work. What’s more, when students are going to step out of school and enter into the society, they have to know lots of experience , for example, how to deal with challenges outside, so they need to have some part-time jobs. Clearly, doing a part time job has many advantages. Students can learn how to get along well with others and know the society more profoundly. Secondly, to take a part-time job provides the students with a valuable opportunity to put what he has learned from books into practice. Finally, students can make some money, which helps to unload their families’financial burden.
Due to the analysis above, to be an eligible heir of socialism construction, you have to strike a balance between your study and the job. Study is your major task while a part time job is a minor one though work experience is desirable.

The bar chart above demonstrates clearly that some changes have taken place in terms of the situation of part-time jobs in a certain university. Although the participation percentage of part-time jobs from university the first year to the third year almost remain stable, we can see that percentage of university the fourth year has been on a sharp rise.
In the freshman year, based upon the data of the chart, the participation percentage of part-time jobs is nearly 67.77%; the second year, 71.13%; the third year, 71.93%. Surprisingly, the percentage rises dramatically to 88.24% in the senior year.
For my part, it’s of no difficulty for us to come up with some possible factors to account for this trend. For example, dullness and loneliness are common problems of seniors, therefore more seniors take part in part-time jobs. But the sources of this phenomenon go way deeper. It is the turbulent employment environment that shapes this trend. For hunting jobs and then broadcasting their ambition, seniors try all means to gather working experience. I believe that finding reasons can be described as a bridge between problems and solutions.
