My wife wasn't totally on board with this for a high school grad so I had to come up with an inscription to make sure it wasn't too childish a gift for someone at a pivotal point of becoming an adult.
As you grow older
and start to reflect,
you'll realize these Seuss-isms
are all quite correct.
But, if you don't like it a lot,
just think,
it's the best money card
you ever got!
Stuffed with a few bucks, there's no 18 year old that won't appreciate it, right?
I bought three books to give out to three of my graduating college student staff. I wrote a little letter on the front inside cover and ended it with a quote of my own. The book is very sturdy so I am sure they will have the book for years to come and to refer back to. I read through the book and I love how the poem excerpts are titled with a life tip. Anyone reading this book will remember not to take life so seriously but to have fun as well. I think this is a gift that isn't random (like most of my gifts) but rather makes sense for graduating students of all ages.
Great Dr Seuss book, will be a decoration for high school graduate and extra gift.
I recently but this for a couple of high school graduates. This book is great for all ages to help remind us of simple advice we should follow to lead a happier and more fulfilling life. I am hoping these individuals will look back fondly on this book as life throws things at them they may not expect! It is the great awesomeness we have all come to expect from Dr. Seuss books. I look forward to sharing this with my own children someday!
