Lauren Tarshis has done it again! She manages time after time to write books about true events that that are educational without that being obvious to the young reader! They are engaging and relevant to the thought process of the average 9-10 year old and that makes them an excellent choice for young readers. Ours was a reluctant reader until he discovered this series and now we cannot slow him down!
I ordered this book for my tween daughter. She read it in one sitting. She loved it. She was enamoured with the plot and when she finished reading, she looked up more facts about the Joplin tornado. I love this series and how it piques the interest of the kids to learn more about the event.
I have a child who doesn't enjoy reading. These books are one of the exceptions. They are adventure novels for upper elementary/middle school age children. As in this book, the main characters are usually boys.
Our grandson loves these books. It is always rewarding when as a grandparent I find something for my grandson that he really likes. I will continue to purchase from this series.
Excellent product that was delivered ahead of schedule--would buy from seller again.
