我们盼望已久的英语开放周到了，校园里张灯结彩。大榕树上挂满了红灯笼和三、四年级的同学精心制作的英语贺卡，文化长廊上贴满了五、六年级的同学精心设计的英语手抄报，还搭起了一个小舞台，学校里焕然一新，热闹非凡。
今天是英语开放周的第一天。早上八点钟，我们三至六年级的老师和同学们按顺序入场。大家都在耐心的等待着。八点三十分，几辆小轿车缓缓地驶进校园。顿时，操场上一片欢呼，人头涌动。哇！三位高大的、黄头发、白皮肤、蓝眼睛的外籍英语教师在我校领导的陪同下进场。场上的哨声、鼓掌声混成一片，同学们使劲地挥动着手中的吹起棒，对外教的热情难以言表，只好用力地挥异口同声地喊：“Welcome to our school!”问好声响彻云霄。外教也很有理貌地向我们挥手打招呼。
九点正的讲座开始了。三位外教逐一登场，他们用标准流利的英语作了自我介绍。他们都来自美国纽约，其中一位还获得了博士的学位。三位外教教我们学英语，还从舞台上走下来，把麦克风对准同学们，让我们跟着他一起读，一起说，一起讲。他听着我们读，还时不时竖起大拇指“Good!Good!”同学们多么想大声喊啊！紧跟着Ma Show老师拿起吉他弹起来，我们也情不自禁地跟着唱起来！这时，我们在场的师生的心情无比激动，难以用语言表达。

说到“感恩”这个温暖的字眼，很多人都出口成章，写起文章头头是道，令人泪流满面，可在这年头，还有几个懂得感恩这个词的真正含义……
现在这个社会中，小孩在家称王称霸，到外面呢胆小如鼠，这到底是什么原因造成的？只有一种准确的回答：父母过分的溺爱。现在，每个孩子都是家中的”掌上明珠”，要什么就能得到什么，从不用去争取，因为只要张口就可以了，这些东西来的多容易呀！习惯了，就觉得是父母本来就该做的，从不懂感恩，也不懂珍惜，使孩子养成了自私娇气的一种心理。我曾看过这样一幕，在肯德基餐厅里，有个小孩在用手去捞可乐里的冰块玩，那妈妈赶紧把孩子的手拿出来，温柔的责备着：“宝贝，不能玩冰块，小手会冻伤的！”这时，一个令我震惊的动作出现在我的眼前，我不敢相信，那个小孩竟然拿起冰块砸向他妈妈的头，他妈妈愤怒了，假装举起手要打他，他马上第一个反应就是哭，号啕大哭，哭是孩子对付父母的武器，整个餐厅的人都在看那对母子，我想这时候那个妈妈一定觉得很难堪，很尴尬，很丢脸。有的人说：“孩子还小不懂事”。真的是这样吗？孔融让梨的故事又告诉我们什么道理呢？
自从听了于丹的演讲，我发现要感谢很多人，父母，是您给予了我明亮的眼睛，观看这绚丽多姿的世界，老师，是您丰富了我知识的海洋，医生，是您把我从病中救起给了我健康的身体，同学，是你们给我鼓励伴着我快乐的成长。我还发现，原来爱就这么简单，不需要如柔柔春风的甜言蜜语，也许，就在父母平时的严肃责备你，批评你，挑剔你时，就有一股浓浓的爱在灌溉你，老师在罚你抄写时，老师在盯着你时，那是老师对学生浓浓的爱，好多孩子都看不见这么浓的爱。弟子规中训道：“亲爱我，孝何难；亲憎我，孝方贤。亲有过，谏使更，怡吾色，柔吾声。”孝敬父母就该如此，父母错怪了自己，也不必计较，是父母把孩子带到这个美丽的世界，生命是父母给予，肉是父母给的，血是父母身上流的，有时父母错怪了有怎样呢？父母恩有多么大。生活中也一样，要学会记住别人的好，学会去感恩曾帮助过你的人，甚至敌人。
我们一生下来就是一张白纸，是父母的哺育，老师的教诲，同学的鼓励……是他们在这张白纸上添上了酸甜苦辣，那么感恩就是这张纸上最绚烂的色彩，让生活变得更有意义，学会感恩吧！你将发现世界到处都很美好！
