作者简介

MARY POPE OSBORNE is the author of the New York Times number one bestselling Magic Tree House series. She and her husband, writer Will Osborne (author of Magic Tree House: The Musical), live in northwestern Connecticut with their three dogs. Ms. Osborne is also the coauthor of the companion Magic Tree House Fact Trackers series with Will, and with her sister, Natalie Pope Boyce.
 
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. Sal lives and works in New York with his wife, Nancy.

My 7 yr old loves these books and she enjoyed this one, too. She read the whole series within the last year and it's been her favorite of all the series she's read so far. I like how they combine history with modern day and Magic. My daughter has learned a ton about history (and she doesn't even realize it!).

My son and I read this while on vacation in Washington DC this summer and he really enjoyed the story. The bonus: We went to the National Zoo and saw the pandas so my son made a self to real world connection. We are going to purchase the Fact Finder book now.

We've been reading this for a few weeks now. Neither of my kids seems to be really into it which is crazy since my little one is obsessed with pandas. It's an ok story but nothing that sucks you in and makes you want to keep reading.

I am teaching two little girls all of their subjects at home and have found these books both educational but enjoyable for them to read as they progress. Thank you very much.
