作者简介

ANNE SCHREIBER is a graduate in Science Education from Cornell University and began her career as an elementary school teacher. She wrote the science content for the Magic School Bus television series. She has written more than a dozen books for young children. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.

作为一般科普的全英文，这个价格可以了。原价4美元呢。除了学单词，还可以学学人家正规的语句如果表达最基本的东西

好薄的一本书，看到实物，可能会犹豫要不要买

Among all the NG kids books we got (and we probably got them all) this one did not really capture my 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 sons' attention. I am not saying that the book is bad, but my kids are probably not interested in the subject... Nonetheless, the older kid read it to his brother (only once though, compared to the spiders and bats and snakes and lizards and so on and so on...)

this was a very nice book with awesome pictures. i did sent it back however because it was a little too easy for my 1st grader who reads at a 3rd-4th grade level. it would have been great for her a 1-2 years ago. it's probably perfect for a kindergartner or pre-schooler who reads with a little help, or a 1st grade who reads at an average level. overall it's exactly what you'd expect from national geographic, which is nothing less than excellent.

My 6 year-old child is obsessed with volcanoes. She loved this book, especially learning the characteristics and names of all the different volcanoes. The pictures are fantastic.

I purchased this book to go along with a "build your own volcano kit." It was perfect for my 11 year old nephew. I like gifts that are both fun and educational. I suggest buying the kit too. His came with a plastic mold for constructing again and again. It would only require more plaster which can be bought at any hobby store. This gives kids hands on fun and learning and beats putting them in front of yet another video game.
