I bought this book when my grandson was 1 along with several other Step Into Reading Books. It is never to early to start reading to them. He loved it immediately due to the Sesame St. characters. We read it until it was dog eared and I broke down and bought another book. He is now 4 and has a younger sister, now age 2. She too loves it and I am on our third copy. She will read this herself or to anyone who will pay attention including our dogs. The neat thing is that my grandson still loves it.
I purchased this book for my granddaughter - she is definitely too young to read but just the right age to listen to Mommy or Daddy read it to her at bedtime. The rhythm of the words along with the simplicity of the story make it a BIG hit. (My granddaughter is 2 1/2 which is definitely under the recommended age.) This book will be a favorite for a long time!
I was looking for books for my 14 month old, and I saw this one had great reviews. I was worried it was gonna be too much for him and he would get bored, but OMG he loves it. He follows me around everyday with the book so I can read it to him again and again. Highly recommended :)
My daughter loves Cookie Monster and Elmo, so I admit, by looking at the cover I thought the book was just about them two making cookies. But to my surprise, the book included all the Sesame Street characters which made it even better. My daughter loves the story, and the pictures. Not ideal for a 10 month old who thinks the book is a cookie too, but all in all the book is being enjoyed by her, and that's all that matters. Not a disappointment by any means.
Our 2-year old son loves this book! It's a fun & easy book & young kids love it!
