Our 2 1/2 year old loves this book! We checked it out from the library on a whim. He likes monsters so it caught our eye. We bought him his own copy after reading the book before nap and before bed. It has been the book he asks for since we had it from the library. My husband joked that we should hide the book, that's how much he wants to read it!
This book has cute illustrations. I like how the color words are in their actual color so my son can "read" along. I also like how it teaches which colors can combine to make new colors.
I've bought the author's other title "Monsters Love School" and am anxious for it to arrive. I will keep buying books by the author.
The cover of this book is what I wanted. Read the fine print. It was an international version and colors as well as some other words are spelled differently.
This book is awesome for teaching colors, mixing colors, counting, and giving Dad a chance to turn loose some funny voices. We read this book an average of 4-5 times a week at bed or nap time and it seems to never get old. Your kids will love this book too, unless you suck at story telling, then they may just like it.
