David illustrates fiction, poetry, and picture books, including the Dirty Bertie series, and in 2006 won the Nestlé Children's Book Prize Gold Award for his line drawings in Mouse Noses on Toast.

If you're looking for great picture books with interesting stories in rhyme, you cannot go wrong with any of Julia Donaldson's books...this one is no different. We own practically every Donaldson picture book from A Squash & a Squeeze, The Gruffalo, Singing Mermaid, Sharing a Shell, Tyrannosaurus Drip & so on. It doesn't matter who the illustrator of the book is, as each brings his or her own magic to Julia's great stories with beautiful & vibrant pictures...we often gift these books to our international English speaking friends, who in turn have become avid fans of Julia Donaldson & her wonderful characters.

One of our very favorites. I think I've purchased it close to 10 times. Fun to read, and silly.

Fun story, good rhymes. One of the more entertaining books for an adult that I read to my toddler.

Cute story that the kids seem to enjoy. I like the artwork, and the story is creative and different than so many of the kid stories out there.

We are Julia Donaldson fans! Amazing book, a pleasure to read and my 5-year old loves it! We plan to purchase the entire collection.
