I love Richard Peck's books. The writing is superb and the stories are fresh and unique. This book could very well be a classic family read-aloud book of the quality of Charlotte's Web . There are British terms and references to nobility that will require some explanation and the opportunity to share a little history so it is not for the very young. Can't wait to read it with my 8 year old granddaughter.

One of my favorite authors. Bought book to donate to a public library & am making a small quilt to be donated & auctioned to raise funds.

My son and I read this book together and we both LOVED it! The author is so witty and the book keeps you intrigued with all its' twists and turns. The surprise ending was the icing on the cake :)

My nine-year-old grandson recommended this book to me. He was doing a report on the author and I wanted to read something by him. The book is entertaining and very well-written. I intend to read more by Richard Peck.

My granddaughrt loved this book. She stayed with it and read it in 2 days. She is nine years old and really loves to read BUT she extremely picky and this was an A++ reating from her.
