National Geographic Kids books are great. The illustrations and photographs are amazing and the information they provide is set up in a way that keeps your children engaged and interested. They have small paragraphs and pop out boxes of facts over beautiful photographs and illustrations, instead of just a boring block of text. My girls love them and we have amassed quite a collection.

This particular book is about Cheetahs. They talk about many things including the differences between cheetahs and other wild cats, their speed, where they live, baby cheetah cubs, and even how to protect them from extinction. My 6 year old loves learning the facts and reading the books while my 3 year old loves the pictures, especially the baby pictures. My 6 year old has been really interested in these types of educational books lately and has been asking for more, which we are happy to encourage.

We have purchased many of the National Geographic Kids books for our collection and they are a big hit in our house. There are so many different books with various subjects that will appeal to any kid. These are highly recommended. If you haven't already, do your kids a favor and start their collection today.

I ordered this book for a second grade research project. The students were able to gather most of the information they needed from this one book. It contains wonderful, vivid photographs. If you are a primary grade teacher, the National Geographic Readers are perfect for teaching nonfiction text elements along with nonfiction reading comprehension (Common Core ELA Standards). Parents and children will enjoy these engaging books at home, too. They are interesting and informative.

My daughter has a recent obsession with Cheetahs so I bought this book to read to her. She is too young to read it on her own but she enjoys this book. The picture are great, and we have both learned a lot from this book.

This is a great book for beginner readers. Our grandson wasn't reading completely by himself, but quickly picked up the book and dug in for details on the big cats. Easy to read, lots of details and went along with his Ty Cheetah.

a 5 year old who loves cheetahs or wild animals can read this on his/her own! Just enough info to keep a kid interested
