I sent this book to my Granddaughter for Valentine's Day having never read the book myself. My daughter was reading it with my Granddaughter last night and shared a picture of 2 pages from the book on Facebook saying Erika had come to a page with lots of words she did not know. Here is what the pages said," A Valentine for my Best Friend. You are rotten, you are crummy, nasty, smelly and a dummy, you are are absolutely awful and your breath should be unlawful. You are ugly, you are simple, and your brain is like a pimple, you should soak your head in brine... Won't you be my Valentine?" I am grateful she did not know the words! While the attempt is humor, it was NOT funny or appropriate for a child who is 5-6!!
