Marion Dane Bauer is the author of many books for young readers, including the Newbery Honor book On My Honor and the New York Times bestseller My Mother Is Mine. Her other titles include A Mama for Owen, If You Were Born a Kitten, Grandmother’s Song, and Thank You for Me! She has retired from the faculty of the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults where she was the first Faculty Chair. Karen Katz has written and illustrated more than fifty picture books and novelty books including the bestselling Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? After graduating from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, she attended the Yale Graduate School of Art and Architecture where she became interested in folk art, Indian miniatures, Shaker art, and Mexican art. Her book, Counting Kisses, was named one of the 100 Greatest Books for Kids by Scholastic Parent & Child and was a Children’s Book-of-the-Month Club Main Selection. My toddler daughter loves this book. They love pulling down the flaps. I wouldn't recommend for kids above the age of two, however. My two year old loves it but my six year old gets bored fast.
Excellent book to have and to read to you kids.
This is one of the few books that my one year old will sit still for. He loves lifting the flaps and looking at the different parts of the body and I love the adorable rhymes and illustrations. You'll want to supervise your little one when they read/play with this book-- the flap are easy to tear!
my toddler prefers where is baby's belly button, which also has slightly larger flaps, but this "lap size" larger version is a fun book.
My 2 year old LOVES this book. He points to body parts and says their names.
