Gift for my nephew once removed. He is in kindergarten and 5 years old. I remember my daughters reading books about Little Critter. We loved them so much. So I was excited to find them on Amazon!
1-1/2 year old son LOVES these books, and I know they will come in handy as he's learning to read. Out of hundreds of books he owns, he picks these out to read at least once or twice everyday, along with "Just Critters Who Care," which I highly recommend as well.
This is not a set for beginner readers, but the stories are good and you can reinforce certain words.
My son is 5 and is starting to become familiar with sight words. We have always enjoyed the simplicity and light humor behind the Little Critter books, so when I found this, I knew it would make a great addition to his collection. He gets excited to find words he knows and the text in each book is short and simple but still makes a great story.
My son doesn't love to read so when he showed interest in the little critter books, I purchased this set for him. He loves them! I'll be buying more.
