Max and Mo are my preschooler's new favorite series. These are "Ready to Read" level 1 ("Starting to Read") books. My boy can read short sentences and sound out new words, but doesn't enjoy reading independently yet. He can read these books with just a little help.
The Max and Mo books are formulaic. The two hamsters live at a school/preschool. The kids work on some activity. The hamsters get interested and find their own way to do the activity. The Hamster's version is included with pictures and instructions as a short activity for the reader to do at home.
The activity in this book is building a paper snowman.
perfect reader book
