Usually men would agree that women are better parents, and women know that indeed they are. Love being equal, in reality women (rather than men) play the greater role in raising children in most societies. The reality is not that paternal love is less important but that maternal love is naturally necessary.
There are reasons associated with the reality that women make better parents than men. Part of that reality is that parenting requires time and patience, both of which women have more than men do. To promote and support the development of a child, it is essential to be engaged in many a way--physically, intellectually, socially, and last but not least, emotionally. Strange but true, mother-child interactive emotions are inspired by love through natural instinct, often beyond biological relationships. Being both unique and universal, such emotional connection is key to maternal love which is almost as sure as destiny. That is probably why a female is traditionally supposed to be a full-time mother, which might be considered as one of the highest paid jobs since payment is pure love.
In comparison, the image of paternal love is more typical of a strict father placing a strong value on discipline as a means to survive and thrive in a usually harsh world. It is understandable that most fathers are principal bread-winners in the family and thus spend less time with their children than the average mother who enjoys no holiday in parenting. Generally speaking, a father's work in parenting tends to be part-time and seasonal. In particular cases, the phenomenon of single parenting is a good example to prove that a women is a better than a man as a parent. For results, chances are that a single mother can outdo a single father, other things being equal. And this situation has not changed even though more women are having paid jobs like men.
To sum up, the average mother is better than the average father as males and females usually play different roles in parenting. For both alike, it is rewarding to raise children, regardless of different opinions about parenting. Every year, Fathers' Day is celebrated as well as Mothers' Day.
