大学英语作文:讲座式教学和讨论式教学
There are some students who prefer classes in which the teachers provide the lectures most of time, however, others would rather choose classes in which the students can talk. They hold diverse opinions to the problem due to their respective angles and personal concerns. From my point of view, I believe that the class in which students can express themselves is more advisable. My preference will be substantiated in the following discussion.
The essential factor that deserves our consideration is that students can grasp the knowledge more deeply within the classroom where they can express their ideas freely. Whenever students confront problems, they may refer them to teachers and obtain instruction immediately. That way, students are able to comprehend every knowledge point and pave the way to the later study. Moreover, the students can try to explore their own methods and depict them out, which will cultivate their abilities to think independently. Otherwise, in the class where the students could not say what they want, confusions will probably accumulate in their minds, set up barriers and deprive students of interests in their studies.
Another point with the equal significance is that the student can learn from their peers during the arguing even just hearing other’s talking. As we all know, different people have their distinct standpoints for the same questions. Listening the speaking of other students, the listeners can follow the track and reach various viewpoints. Furthermore, the strongpoint of other’s will correct listeners’ drawbacks, enrich their consideration and mature their thoughts. When facing the precious chances to study, who would let them go?
An additional reason in support of my inclination is that the talking classes provide students favorable circumstance to foster their communication skills and interpersonal abilities because they could have more chances to represent themselves before public. The talents about how to express, how to argue and how to intercommunicate will lay a solid base for students’ future careers.
Admittedly, some people think that talking in the class will waste the time or frequently disturb the lecture. As a matter of fact, the more fundamental point is how the students can understand the content of the lecture and achieve the valuable abilities to support their future careers but not the class timetable. When all the aspects are compared carefully, therefore, the conclusion is safely self-evident.
The factors mentioned above weave into an organic whole and thus be more convincible. The merits of discussion in the class will definitely contribute the further development and also lead to my original propensity.
