作者简介Susan Finerty has been working in matrix roles and with matrix organizations for more than 20 years. Since 2004, she has developed a consulting practice focused on organizational effectiveness--helping organizations design and implement change, helping teams work effectively together and coaching individuals on communication, influence and leadership. Susan has held adjunct faculty roles at Northwestern University and Loyola University-Chicago. She has a blog focused on leadership that can be found at www.LeadershipMutt.com and a blog focused on matrix management at www.MasterTheMatrixBlog.com . She has a BA from Central Michigan University and an MA from Indiana University. Ms. Finerty resides in suburban Chicago with her husband and three children.

Most of us work in a matrix environment without the benefit of the skills and mindsets we need to be successful. Finerty does a beautiful job of articulating the "how to's" through her own voice and experience as well as those voices of others she's interviewed. She's concise and provides clear and compelling rationales for her recommendations. This book provides an outstanding foundation for everyone grappling with the challenges of working on cross functional teams and on projects that require accountability to others to whom they don't directly report. I've underlined more in this book than I can remember doing in quite some time. Can't wait to put the learning into practice. Thanks Susan Finerty!

This book was great for dealing with complex organization issues as an HR professional. I shared with my managers to learn how to be more effective and influential in the matrix!
I asked my director for a book suggestion and this was the first one she offered. I was not disappointed. There is a lot of actionable Information on this book.
