The bigger part of the guide is dedicated to shopping, spas and places to eat and drink. It doesn't have nearly enough information about cultural attractions and places to visit. It skips even some of the main attractions and provides very few tips and insights.
this was my first lonely planet guide. Loved it. I wasn't carrying big bulky guides like the other people I traveled with to Bali, it was clear, concise, divided into cities and regions and i could easily find what I was looking for. Will be purchasing from them again!
Covered the basics. But was pretty superficial. Many things we wanted to look up were hard to find and the index was poor.
As a big fan of Lonely Planet Guides, I always buy one for the trips I am taking. The challenge is that they are often to big to keep on you as you trek around for the day somewhere. This one is handy to throw into a mall backpack or shoulder bag wherever we go.
Will be using this book in a few weeks. It looks perfect for my travel to Bali.
